Grandmother is 72 on Monday. She doesn't want a party, she says a party is a waste of tea. So we made a small one, only the family, and she let us give her a new scarf (green, with roses).
She told us a story from when she was a girl: they had one pair of felt boots for four sisters, so one went out at a time. In winter. The oldest was the most clever, she always said she wanted to stay at home with the baby.
Grandmother and the new scarf, with the good samovar.

In two hours it is the New Year. Mama made a table with everything: plov (short rice, stirred, not Uzbek, grandmother is very strict about that), salads, mandarins from the bazaar, a cake I decorated and which looks like a snow hill after an earthquake.
Nurbek wants to go and see the tree on the square with his friends. Mama said NO. Then she said yes if he takes Emil. Then she said no again. They are negotiating.
Happy New Year to everyone who reads this exercise book, both of you. ♥

It snowed on Thursday and school was not cancelled. The stove in our classroom smokes, so we sat in coats and Saltanat eje told us about the Kokand khans in her coat too. She said: in the 1850s they also had cold classrooms, be patient. I don't think the Kokand khans had classrooms.
Grandmother made boorsok for the evening. I ate eleven.

Our cat with no name (Mysyk) caught a mouse yesterday and brought it to grandmother on her prayer mat. Grandmother said "Bismillah" and then a word I am not allowed to write. Emil laughed so much he fell off the sofa.
Mysyk sat next to the mouse and looked so proud. Then the mouse woke up and ran into the stove. Nobody has seen it since. Mysyk is still waiting by the stove with the same face.

Hello! This is my exercise book on the Internet. It is called Däpter because it looks like a real exercise book, with the lines and the holes for the rings. My uncle says Attelkom made this design only this month and I am one of the first. I chose the yellow sticker.
Things about me: I have two brothers (big Nurbek, small Emil), a grandmother who lives with us, and a cat with no name. We call it Mysyk which just means cat.
Our street in October. The poplars are already yellow.
