Three Kids and a Kettle

Eldiyar's first teacher

We went to meet the school. Not the first of September yet, just a meeting for the parents, in the school hall, with chairs for children. Eldiyar's future teacher is called Bakytgul Jumabekovna and she has the voice of a person who can silence forty children without raising it. I want that voice.

She says the children will write with a pen from the first week, not with a pencil, and this is "to build character". We bought four pens and a special pen cap.
