Exams

End of the second year at the university. I am the only person in the group who prepares for the exam in a computer club. Because of the sound of the keys, it is easier to learn "algorithms". Don't ask.

A weekend without sleep

Semifinals and the final in one night, starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday. 12 hours later I was at the counter paying for the night pass for the 5th time that month (18 som, and for the organiser Dilshat-aka said it is "17.50", which is the best discount I have ever had).

Winners: Ak Gül. The girls won the cup. 16-9 on nuke. The Misgaron Boys captain bowed and kissed the cup, and then he was sad for 3 days.

SEASON 3

16 teams. The wall is not big enough. Dilshat-aka painted a part of the next wall with white paint and said "no more". I drew the bracket on the white paint with a ruler. Everybody is impressed. I'm not good at drawing, but I'm good with a ruler.

Special guest: a team of schoolboys from Iyık Janyl, who came on the marshrutka with a cooler bag of samsas. They were the first to bring food for the whole club. They were also the first to lose in round one. We ate the samsas anyway.

Rule change, and why

I have been asked many times: "why is the league still on CS 1.6, the club has newer computers?" Short answer: the computers in the back room are 14 old boxes from 2009 with an old video card. They run 1.6 like a dream and the new game like a slideshow. Long answer: 1.6 is the game our brothers played, and the Old City likes things that don't change. Also, our oldest player has been playing since he was 22 and does not want to learn a new one.
