diploma! journalism, red diploma (almost red, one B in economics).
i'm starting at a newspaper in september. photos and small news. very small news. a cat on a roof, a new bus stop. i'm so happy.
my big sister's friend, the one who is a doctor, texted at three in the morning: "come to the kitchen of the department, they have tea". so i went. we sat in the nurses' kitchen with tea and bread and nobody said anything for twenty minutes. then she laughed, for no reason, and so did i.
the sky outside the window was starting to turn. i did not take out the camera.
the alatau from the roof of the faculty. the sky had two colours, blue and the other blue.third roll. i've started to write on the edge of each strip what the frame was supposed to be. next to the mountains i wrote "calm". when the prints came back it said "calm" on the strip and the picture was something else. i kept it.
the table. grandmother's cups, my cups, one cup that nobody knows whose it is.the cup that nobody knows whose it is turned out to be my great uncle's. he died in 1992. grandmother kept it. we drank from it, in turns, and said nothing.
stop no. 4, the market. one woman, five bags, and a boy asleep on the bench with his arm over his face.i've decided to photograph all the bus stops on line 4. there are 31. i've done 11. each one has something: a graffiti, a dog, an old man selling seeds. this is a map of the city from below.
