Three clients moved to .com

Done this month: the guesthouse (Alatau Heights road), the language centre and the shop for school uniforms. Steps are always the same:

1. Buy the .com with a card (the owner's cousin in Almaty has the card; this is an honest sentence about real life).


2. Copy the site. Check every link, because 40% of links have the old address inside the text.


3. Put a 301 redirect on the old .ir.ad, so the old visitors do not get lost.


4. Send the new address to everybody on the old business cards. The owner of the uniform shop printed new cards. The old ones he keeps "for the nostalgia".

The old names will stay in the zone until they lapse, so the redirect works for a while.
