A woman in her seventies came to the branch because her card "did not work". It worked. She had the PIN written on the card, in pen, and the pen had been smudged by her bag. She could not read her own handwriting.
I did not tell her to never do that. I wrote it again, slowly, in front of the teller, and she said: "You have my grandson's handwriting." I will think about that for a long time.
