Honey from one man in Kara-Buura

Ten years I tried the honey from the bazaar. Half of it was sugar syrup and the other half was sad. Then my cousin took me to a beekeeper in Kara-Buura, an old man with hives on a south slope, and since that day I buy 10 kg from him every October, a bucket, no label, a plastic lid and a handshake.

How to test honey: put a spoon in, lift it. Real honey falls in a thick ribbon and folds on itself like a rope. It crystallises in winter, that is good. If it stays liquid all winter, somebody did something to it.

The medovik this year will have his honey. Eight layers, same as before. The layers will be a little darker and a little more honest.

Mama, you are telling the whole internet where to buy your honey! There will be none left for us.

Chynara, the whole internet cannot find Kara-Buura. Don't worry.

Gulmira eje, it is Gulnaz, the daughter of the beekeeper. Papa read this twice and said: write that the hives are on a south slope because the bees are lazy in the morning, like everyone. Thank you for the kind words.
