About
Almazbek Dosmatovich Chynybekov, born 1961 in Kyzyl-Adyr. Teacher of physics and astronomy at School No. 1 since 1986. Leader of the school astronomy club (Juldyz klub, "the star club") since 1991.
We have one telescope: a Soviet school refractor, 80 mm, stamped 1978, that the district education department gave us when the other school got a better one. We have a tripod that wobbles, an eyepiece that is cracked at the edge and a roof that is flat. It is enough.
I write here in English, with some Iradi, because my pupils and the people in the club in Nurzhan and Talas asked me to. Mistakes are mine.
