History lessons

This year the doctor of Sary-Say died, Toktokan Ergesh kyzy. She was 78. I wrote about her list of names in 2008. In 1989 she gave her list to a newspaper, when it was still dangerous to give anything to a newspaper, and in 2000 she gave it to my school, a copy, in a folder. It lies in the lower drawer of the history room.

I have asked the director to put it in the school museum, with a lamp over it. For the 8th class, who come on Monday: bring a pencil and one name. Learn who that person was. Write three lines.
