A coin nobody asked for
Tulparcoin landed in everyone's phone last week. What we actually know, in five points.

- It launched on 22 September. Every registered adult was offered 100 coins for free.
- The total supply is 900 million coins, and 30% are held by the Forum, the organisation behind it.
- On 24 September the Bank of Irad said it is not legal tender. The bank also said it has no power to ban it.
- Talasbank has stopped card payments for it.
- The price abroad has moved between about 3 and 7 US cents. That is a big range for something that is supposed to be money.
My advice is the same as for any free thing in your phone: don't sell your sheep to buy more of it. If the 100 coins become worth something, good. If they become worth nothing, you lost nothing. Keep it that way.

Clear and calm, thank you. Sending this to my mother instead of explaining it myself.
